¡Vamos, amigos! Margaritas, fajitas and fiestas are all now happening in the heart of Southport Corridor! Coming to us with the concept of family-friendly, border-style Mexican cuisine, 4 Star tasked our team with ideating the restaurant concept from naming to branding to interior murals.
The two iconic characters, Tuco and Blondie, from everyone’s favorite western, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, served as our inspiration for the name — the perfect combo of Mex and Tex. Collaborating closely with our pardners over at Space Architects + Planners, we took this concept and ran for the border, margaritas in hand. Saddled up with un gato loco, luchadores, vintage mexican posters, Frida Kahlo, loteria, and more, everything from the menu system to swizzle sticks and coasters to the digital experience created this family-friendly, night-time shenanigan welcome hot spot. Continuing the brand experience into the physical space, we designed and Artist Painters brought to life four insanely selfie-worthy murals.
This mexifun cantina is heating up and making the summer last a little bit longer. Check out the site at tucoandblondie.com, and grab yourself a daggum quesadilla and a few pitchers of margaritas.
