We worked with Onni to name and brand their newest cafe in Old Town. Inspired by the feeling of attempting to start your day without coffee—you’ve picked up the phone, but you’re not dialing yet—Dialtone exudes a classic, somewhat eccentric charm.

Inspired by the “two cans on a string telephone” of yesteryear childhoods, the Dialtone logomark shows both a wine glass and a coffee mug, bookmarking a discombobulated string in between—an apt and nonjudgemental metaphor for the type of days that are eased by beverages of both kinds.

Dialtone features baked goods from another one of our clients, Bad Butter (the pastry artist formerly known as Dan the Baker). We love when clients collab!

We also worked with the interior design team at Ste. Marie to create custom artwork for the space and unique check presenter postcards, using found photography and focusing on themes of awakeness, disorientation, and motion.
