We helped the team at The Emily Hotel conceptualize and develop branding for their rooftop bar, Selva. Inspired by the energetic nightlife of Tulum and Mexico City, we built a brand system that represents the edgy, mysterious side of the jungle.
What started as a scrappy local news upstart is now one of Chicago's most trusted news organizations. We were honored to help Block Club update their identity to better reflect their position as a local news authority by highlighting their professionalism and their dedication to the people of Chicago.

From the merch to the menu system, the Selva brand is executed with sophistication while still representing the vibrant energy and playfulness of the wild. We created illustrations that capture the essence of Mayan hieroglyphics, giving the Selva brand a hand-crafted look and feel.
Using duality as the driving force for this brand, we found a perfect balance between the light, airiness of the day, and the dark, spirited side of the night, embodying the fire within.
